Hello, I am Vijayant. I am a fashion design graduate, traveller, trekker, and storyteller. Through my blog Nomad On Earth, I share my journey of slow exploration, rooted in design, culture, and authentic travel experiences.
By profession, I am a fashion design graduate with experience working for international fashion brands. Over the years, I have specialized in the design and development of work wear, where precision, functionality, and craftsmanship define my daily work. My background in the global fashion industry has shaped not only my design sensibility, but also my approach to observing people, places, and cultures with a trained eye for detail.
Outside the world of fashion, I am a traveller, trekker, and storyteller at heart. These passions have taken me on incredible journeys and shaped who I am today.
Uttarakhand is the landscape that continues to call me back. I am deeply inspired by the holy river Ganges, the majestic Himalayas, and the spiritual energy of this region. I have travelled across Rishikesh – the yoga capital of the world, Uttarkashi, and completed the Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand. My journeys have also taken me to remote villages of the (Uttarkashi) district, where I enjoy interacting with local communities, understanding their customs, listening to their stories, and experiencing life in its purest form.
In my leisure time, I love travelling, trekking, cooking, and storytelling. Cooking allows me to explore culture through flavors, trekking connects me to nature, and storytelling helps me preserve moments that deserve to be remembered.
Through Nomad On Earth, my personal travel journal, I document more than destinations. I share travel stories from Uttarakhand and the Himalayan region, experiences from spiritual journeys and pilgrimage routes, encounters with local people and cultures, and reflections on slow travel, trekking, and mindful living.
